  • Summer Webinar Series

This summer, we’re launching a monthly webinar series exploring Charlottesville’s clean energy transition! Join us as we discover what actions are being taken by cities both at home in Virginia and across the country, as well as uncover opportunities and challenges unique to Charlottesville.

In our introductory webinar, C3 and our decarbonization study partners explored the current energy systems that fuel the Charlottesville area, examining both what has been done and what it might take to get us to a more sustainable, fair and affordable energy future. Click here to watch the 30-minute presentation!

Next up: on July 28 at 12pm, we'll be discussing Ann Arbor MI's new Sustainable Energy Utility (A2SEU) that has been the focus of national attention for its trailblazing approach to utility decarbonisation. During the panel discussion, we’ll contrast the legal environment in Ann Arbor with that of Charlottesville, and bring in local legal expertise in considering our local pathways. Panelists include A2SEU’s Executive Director Shoshannah Lenski, Director of Outreach at Ann Arbor’s Community Action Network Krystal Steward, and the Southern Environmental Law Center’s Kat King.
