Businesses Can Take the Lead on Climate Action
Production doesn't have to equal pollution.
Virginia business operations account for over 65% of our greenhouse gas emissions through transportation, manufacturing, or commercial building energy usage - and that means there are huge opportunities for this sector to have an impact on climate change. Businesses and nonprofits, whether small or large, can reduce their own energy use and cost, reap the benefits from improved efficiency and functionality, and reduce carbon emissions from their operations.
As community leaders, businesses can also play an important role as advocates for collective climate solutions, and in caring for our most vulnerable neighbors, those most impacted by climate change.
C3 helps organizations of all shapes and sizes take action—individually and with the collective voice of the business community through C3's Green Business Alliance (GBA).

Get started!
Reducing energy use and emissions, saving money, and even building equitable climate action into your brand involves five simple concepts:
Understanding your impact and costs by tracking bills and other data (like fuel, miles driven, process chemical quantities, etc.)
Using that information to zero in on the largest contributors to impact and costs
Identifying opportunities to reduce impact and costs
Strategically implementing those opportunities over time
Helping others do the same.
C3 can help with any of these steps. Just contact us at corp@theclimatecollaborative.org, or explore our other services below.
