June 23: Clearing the Air: Exploring Cville's Clean Energy Transition
12:00 - 1:00 PM
In this introductory webinar, C3 and our decarbonization study partners will explore the current energy systems that fuel the Charlottesville area, examining both what has been done and what it might take to get us to a more sustainable, fair and affordable energy future.
July 7: Community Town Hall + Dinner
Join C3 and our project partners for a free community dinner at CitySpace, where we’ll share out updates on the project status and share thoughts in a relaxed setting! Doors open at 6:30pm, and there’ll be a brief presentation at 7pm, but participants are welcome to drop in at any time, make a plate catered by a local vendor (with vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options all available), and engage with other community members and project partners.
The project status will be presented in multiple formats, including both the presentation and posterboards, with project partners available to discuss their part in the work throughout the evening. Registration required so we order enough food - sign up here!
July 28: Ann Arbor’s Sustainable Energy Utility
12:00 - 1:00 PM
The City of Ann Arbor, Michigan, has consistently made national headlines by gaining public buy-in to set up a trailblazing, first-in-the-country Sustainable Energy Utility, which will bring clean, affordable energy to the City’s residents. For our second webinar, we dive into the details with the head of Ann Arbor’s new SEU Shoshannah Lenski to discuss how they got where they are, what they’ve learned, and what lessons Charlottesville can take in our own journey toward decarbonization.
